Washington has been in trans activism news after our Attorney General filed a ridiculously-worded lawsuit challenging President Trump’s “Protecting Children From Chemical and Surgical Mutilation” executive order. This will be a four-part series on gender in the Evergreen State. Are you LGB, a sex realist, and concerned? Hit me up!
Mass Formation Psychosis- The psychological phenomenon where a large group of people becomes emotionally and psychologically entrained to a specific narrative or belief, often ignoring reality or dissenting opinions.

While much of the social contagion process, such as people following fads, trends, or rituals, are not necessarily dangerous, when social contagion leads to harming individuals, as in clusters of violence or self-harm, it is a concern for public and mental health. Eating disorders, cutting behavior, and suicide are affected by social contagion processes and are prime examples of the possible harmful effects of social contagion in the field of mental health. Mental health professionals need to be aware of such processes, and take steps to prevent, or ameliorate them.
Washington State is one of the places most socially and politically in the clutches of the trans movement bad idea:
-Socially transition young children and medicalizing them when barely into puberty while previous research showed gender dysphoric kids often outgrew it and were likely to be gay or lesbian.
-Medicalizing exploding numbers of troubled teens with drugs that cause sterility, osteopenia, sexual function damage, pelvic floor damage, cardiovascular risks, and likely have negative cognitive impacts.
-Performing breast amputation and genital surgeries on teens.
-Inducing socially contagious sexual confusion, gender confusion, female self-hatred, and body dysmorphias in young people with “born in the wrong body” and “dozens of genders” messaging, causing a massive rise in steroid abuse and reliance on cosmetic surgeries for emotional regulation.
-Destroying fair sports for girls and placing teenage boys in girls’ locker rooms who are likely to be sexually attracted to girls.
-Placing extraordinarily violent and sexually abusive heterosexual males who identify as trans women in women’s prisons where they go on to assault the women locked in cages with them.
-Turning a blind eye to the pervasive threats of violence and rape hurled at women who disagree with any aspect of the trans agenda.
-Turning a blind eye to this happening to lesbian teenagers on the internet who say they don’t want sexual intercourse with “lady penises”.
-Destroying the functioning of gay rights and women’s organizations to serve the interests of those groups to push a widely hated agenda.
-Corrupting news reporting and data gathering with sex denialism.
Support for this agenda exists mainly in blue Western Washington. While trans identity used to be rare, in these areas, it is common to see trans-identifying young people, especially on Capitol Hill or working at Starbucks from Bellingham down to Vancouver. I know several people with trans-identified teens in their families. Nothing close to these levels existed 20 years ago. A few people I know think this is just great; others are horrified.
These youths are immersed in a counterculture body modification cult. I use the term cult because gender scenes reinforce rigid and scientifically inaccurate ideological belief systems, promote quasi-religious narratives of transformation, encourage cutting ties with loving families who don’t affirm right away, promote histrionic messaging about people wanting them dead, and promote fake, apocalyptic statistics about suicide and murder, while maintaining strict thought policing and censorship of deviating thoughts. I have interacted with young people from this state who have told me as such, and this is in line with the trans movement as a whole.
Most of the trans-identified males you see around are of the heterosexual, autogynephilic variety or whatever else is causing a heterosexual boy or young man to ID as trans these days. The pressure is fervid in liberal regions with CHOP zones not to be an “oppressor, cis white heterosexual male.” You do see the homosexual trans-identified effeminate boys around. The GnRH agonists weaken bones, but they don’t reduce their male-typical heights. Expect this area to have a higher-than-average level of enthusiasm among liberal mothers to put their barely-into-puberty, effeminate boys on puberty blockers, slamming the lid down on any possibility adolescence and its testosterone surge will help them resolve their gender issues as it has in the past.

Being same-sex attracted, a woman, and having experienced gender dysphoria in my tweens, I am most curious about the females who transition. Many transitioned women do not achieve a voice that registers in the male range. They don’t sound like women anymore, but they don’t sound like men. Most don’t pass, even to the most easily fooled. The lesbians who transition look like lesbians with beards. Society doesn’t value gender nonconformity in women, and lesbians themselves in the highest numbers. This is demonstrated by the large percentage of them medicalizing themselves and their willingness to significantly damage their health and stick out in strange ways as an obvious woman on testosterone. Then there are the many using wince-worthy nonbinary pronouns.
The shorter stature women of whatever orientation maintain their female round faces. It just looks…off. Here is an “FtM” who concedes it and indeed celebrates it.
Conventionally speaking, I was a hot girl and now I'm an ugly guy. Before T: I was a thin girl with perky boobs and a cute face. Now I'm a fat, hairy dude with a patchy, leprechaun beard.
However, according to me, I am the hottest dude to ever walk the face of this earth and y'all are lucky you get to breathe the same air as me. Okay, that's an exaggeration. But I genuinely do feel hotter and sexier than ever before even though im not what society had in mind when they cast a hot guy in hollywood.
Some women on testosterone retain their wide women’s hips. They look like pear-shaped Venuses of Willendorf with double mastectomies and scraggly facial hair.
I am not saying this to be cruel. Commenting on people’s looks is something I generally consider tacky. But it’s not offensive to notice things medicalized people admit publicly themselves. Many don’t want to pass. “Trans/nonbinary” is a wide umbrella now and has its own scenes, belief systems, and social capitol beyond the standard transitioners of the past who just wanted to relieve their intense suffering and move on with their lives, preferably in stealth. It is true that the point of transition often is to make oneself look bizarre and ugly as an act of hostility to mainstream beauty and behavioral standards. This is clearly stated in Recovering Anarchist’s account about detransitioning from a nonbinary identity.
I’m not saying that queers are ugly, because beauty standards are arbitrary and ever-changing, and besides, rejecting them can lead to fascinating aesthetic innovations. What I’m saying is that many queers intentionally choose to look ugly, just as many punks choose to look poor. Fuzz on the upper lip, a mysterious vocal pitch, a statuesque figure in a dress, curves clad in menswear: there were various ways to turn heads at the potluck.
Adults should have autonomy over their bodies for most things in a pluralistic, free society. My attitude about adults medicalizing is that they should fall under policies that exist for anyone else seeking plastic surgery who doesn’t like their body the way it is and who must pay out of pocket. But so many of these young people radiate a physically and mentally unwell vibe, and the research backs this up. And speaking out has become necessary as activists push aggressive demands to normalize and market this culture to growing children and adolescents, enforced via government mandate in states like ours. Extreme surgeries and pumping your body full of hormones at levels meant for the opposite sex are health-damaging enough to justify calling this “medically assisted self-harming behavior.” We don’t flag-wave for young men who are addicted to steroids and obsessively working out. But cloud people’s eyes by throwing rainbow glitter, and even preschool teachers will celebrate it.
I am not interested in forcing people to conform and I believe there are healthy ways to be gender atypical. I commend interesting art, aesthetics, and needed social confrontations that have arisen from this. I am gender atypical myself. But the loving thing to do for a 16-year-old who wants to transition is to be honest that they are going to look strange in off-putting ways and that the aggressive, screeching gender movement isn’t going to change that fact. Correctly sexing bodies is hardwired into our human evolution. It’s also hardwired to notice people who go out of their way to present in a peculiar manner and view this as anti-social. It is the loving thing to do to tell young people it is better not to damage your long-term health and that this will signal to people, especially employers and those you may become attracted to, that you are not a psychologically balanced person. To all the progress-flag-waiving “affirmers,” you are the cruel ones for bubble-wrapping them in queer and body-hatred validation and promoting the message anyone who doesn’t hates them. It is the ignominy of the adults, not the youth, when adults fail to prepare impulsive and impressionable young people for emotional self-regulation and the difficulties of the real world. “TQ” youth aren’t doing well in the new social and medical “gender affirmation” world places like Olympia have helped to create. In fact, there is a mental health crisis. And it’s time to stop lying that it’s all the fault of minority stress and the Republicans.
People need to stop glorifying this. No really, stop it. I am especially talking to liberals, LGB people, and wiser adults who experience gender dysphoria—the surge in trans/nonbinary/genderqueer identity obviously mimics other body dysmorphia contagions like bulimia. I don’t believe many of the “go along to get alongs” in the “LGBTQ community” don’t realize much of this is warped. Even in the socialistic, queerest, bluest of the blue, leftie Seattle. Be braver.

That photo of the women who are presumably celebrating taking "T" to treat their gender dysphoria is telling for what it does not say. None of them meet the standards of female attractiveness. That's unfortunate, especially for teens who are at the savage mercy of their gender-policing peers. The tragedy is that they felt they had to escape their biological sex (which they can never do) to be comfortable in their own skin. It is hard to see them fitting in with normal males. There's a risk they've set themselves up for a life in the trans/queer ghetto. This is not something to be celebrated they way they think it is.
Truer words have seldom been written!
As a gay man in my late 60s, I am alarmed and repulsed by stories of same-sex attracted men who have so little resilience and so few options in life that changing sex and living a lie as the woman they can never be seems like a reasonable alternative to just being another run-of-the-mill gay guy.
Where are they getting this terrible idea? It sounds like a perpetual sentence in some hellish trans/queer demimonde. And where are the adult gay voices to challenge that ghastly narrative? They can't all be sitting around and cruising one another in Palm Springs, can they?
